Here is a short description of Equipment inspection prepared by IOM Worlds 2022 Equipment Inspector

Equipment inspection will be done prior to the commence of the first race in order to provide fair competition. Nevertheless, it is up to the skipper to ensure that the boat complies with all class rules when it races.

Please present your boat de-assembled (hull, keel, rudder, Rig No.1, Rig No.2 and Rig No.3) to the equipment inspectors.

Presence of the hull and sail numbers will be checked.

Your equipment (hull, keel, rudder, Rig No.1, Rig No.2 and Rig No.3) will be signed/stamped.

Weight of fin, rudder and the assembled boat with all three rigs will be checked.

Corrector weight(s), if any shall be fixed in/on the hull prior to the equipment inspection.

Length and draught of the boat as well as depth of the hull will be checked in tank basin with heaviest rig only.

Equipment inspectors will fill deficiencies during equipment inspection in the Equipment inspection form.

Any other deficiencies in equipment noticed by the equipment inspectors will be also noted in the Equipment inspection form.

You need to rectify reported deficiencies and to present the equipment again to equipment inspectors.

Equipment control has been successfully performed if there is no comments in column "Deficiencies to be rectified by the skipper".

Equipment inspector will sign your Equipment inspection form.

After successful equipment inspection, please return the signed form to Registration office.
